at lids studio, we believe that the everday can be littered with luxury.
we believe that art doesn’t always have to be ‘new’ to be beautiful; that the things we so easily consider ‘rubbish’ and ‘single use’ on a daily basis, actually house an endless amount of creative potentional.
we want to inspire people to look again; to take a moment, step back and think differently.
OUR MATERIALS.
every piece from lids studio is handcrafted from otherwise unwanted wasted materials. our choice of materials range anywhere from single use plastic items, bottle tops, recycled household waste to papers, cardboards & reclaimed timber.
specialising in crafting texturally luxe work, we describe our unique style as ‘texture artistry’. creating an energy within each piece that excites the senses and summons an irresistible urge to touch.
we want to reinvent the meaning of ‘recycled art’ and bring a new luxurious feel with the way we repurpose our materials. creating unrecognisable beauty from these unsuspecting objects.

hi, i’m lyds,
but my dad has always spelt it ‘lids’ - (fitting for a girl who would grow up to love playing with plastic ones!)
For as long as I can remeber I’ve been obsessed with textures, making things out of anything i could get my hands on and the challenge that comes with revinventing something into a new cool and beautiful form.
over the years i’ve come to experiment and refine my style, textures & love for the unconventional to the point they are today; leading me to where you are now:

a place where i hope to showcase my pieces, the celebration of second chances and how truely beautiful even the most unsuspecting of things can be, if you just look a little differently.
these pieces are my absolute loves and creating them has been a dream come true! i hope exploring the world of lids studio brings you as much joy, intrigue and inspiration as it does me.
